You know that excuse, "My dog ate my
homework?" Once I had to tell my publisher, "My dog ate my contract!"
(True story!) ~~
I once sang backup along with two other vocalists for Joe Frazier (yes,
Smokin' Joe, the boxer) in a casino showroom. He referred to us as 'The
Knock-outs'. (Swear!) ~~
Trying to get in touch with a famous singer
(who shall not be named), Tony Curtis (yes, THE Tony Curtis of Some Like
it Hot fame) called the entertainment agency I was working for at the
time and I answered the phone. I had a conversation with
Tony-flipping-Curtis!
